Colton's Adventure

Following the Guardian, you make it out of the cave, reassured that you're not actually about to get crushed by murderous rock things. Granted, you're not sure why you're reassured—or if the gecko lady is even real. Or why she keeps licking her eyeball. Still, you follow her back onto the beach, though noticing an uptick in people around, you duck behind some bushes for comfort.

"You never did tell me your name, dear."

"Oh, I'm—Colton."

"And you came from The City, right?"

"Yeah. I—have to make up for something."

Now, geckos can't squint, but you have a feeling she'd be squinting, bemused right about now. "By yourself?"

"Well—I don't have anyone to go with me—"

"What happened to your parents?"

> "She...left when I was little. And I haven't seen her since."
