And like that, it gets cold. Frigid, even. You marvel at a couple ferns that've made their home among the small rocks and cracks of the entrance and waste no further time going deeper.

With the failing light of the mouth of the cave, you get a good look at all you can. It's impressive, seeing the bumpy layers of meticulously formed rock like paint splatters overhead. Everything's got a dark brown tint to it at first, but as you make your way down a natural stone staircase, things get more pale.
