The landscape surrounding you is foreign.
What in the fuck is this? You don't remember what happened, though none of them ever do. The only memories you manage to grasp at come in bits and pieces, only to fall through your fingers once more—you hear the low humming, you recall the glow, but what it means, or what it was, has truly escaped you. And fuck, your head hurts.
You brush yourself off, and you rise to your feet. Regaining your balance, you look into the distance. Among the stars and sharp cliffs, you spot a landmass that looks a little out of place. Dragging yourself closer, you take in its form, one you recognize and know well. Burger Mountain? No, surely not. You don't know where you are, but it's definitely not the peaceful countryside you once knew—yet here it is, snack bar and all.
It seems to have just been ripped out and placed there, as bizzare as such a thing sounds. Chunks of land are haphazardly strewn about the place, though it looks as if you were to reach it you could still climb to the top. You have nothing to lose, so you place your confusion aside for a moment, and begin the journey to its peak. As you walk, you notice the quirks of the land around you, namely other out-of-place mountains, and a field full of.. men, men who look so familiar. You have a sinking feeling in your stomach as you finally reach the top. The snack bar—it really is still there, and it really is the one—appears to be open.
Whether going over and ordering the usual is a good idea or not is a question for another time. You can't see anyone currently there, but the lights are on, and the smell of onions fills the air. You walk on over, gathering what strength you do have, and ask what's been eating away at you this entire time.
"Excuse me, does Kyle Drake work here?"
And suddenly, it all goes black.

An orange, fox-like creature peers out of a nearby bush. It looks around, and then strolls on over to a body slumped on the floor.
"Ka-chow."
