With Kevin's hugs and blessings to comfort you, you approach one of the two townhouses at the end of the street. The trios' is on the left, a tiny, homely robin egg blue place with a big projection window poking out of the first floor.
This day's been strange. You honestly never thought you'd get this far. It just—never occurred to you that you'd actually find Penny ever again, and while there's no guarantee what you're about to do will end in any manner to how you want it to end, you're at least prepared. Not ready. Not comfortable. But prepared.
Once or twice, you peek back down the street to see Kevin walking the other direction. Unfortunately, he won't be much help in this. You've gotta do it alone.
...Not that that's stopped you yet. You've been alone this entire time, but you braved your way through town, and you're still standing. You braved The City's terminals, full of people who wouldn't spit in your general direction, and you're still standing.
You're not sure if you'll still be standing after this, with the way your chest still hurts. It's gotta be done though.
As you step up the walkway, you almost feel disconnected from yourself, outside your body even. A coping method for the nerves, perhaps. Whatever gets you through it. It's gotta be done.
You're past the mailbox now. Whenever you're ready, Colton.
