Colton's Adventure

With the red panda on his way, you take your time up the stairs, enjoying the pleasant roughness of the rocky banister under your fingers. There's an immediate temperature difference as you step inside, and the stone and tile of the entrance changes to soft, green carpet that floods the entirety of the floor space. The arched windows and tall ceilings shower the room in sunlight, and the white noise of the cooling system sounds almost like rain from far away.

There has to be thousands of books in this first room alone! ...Not that you can read. Well, anyway. Signs aren't much of an issue for you, but you never learned to read proper paragraphs or anything of the sort. You'd like to, someday, but for now, books are just nice for the pictures.

Certainly, you feel a bit at ease here—before you notice the librarian. His desk is tucked away in a dark corner of the library, but there's no mistaking him. He's a tall, curly-furred rabbit with long ears and a longer face—and striking, unmistakably red eyes. Cloaked in all grey, he looks...dire, almost, and the way he's looking at you, you wonder if he thinks you're here to cause trouble or something.

> Go over and ask him about maps. I-I'm sure talking to him will clear things up...

> He's staring at me...maybe I shouldn't. I can find it on my own. It should be somewhere around here, right?

> I'm gonna...go downstairs. Yeah.
