Older drawings between January and March 2023! Honestly, there's not as much as there maybe should be here, because I was still mired in drawing a ton of puppies for cammy.somnol. Not that there's anything wrong with that! Just means, y'know, finished art is a lil light.
As I retreated into endlessly drawing Setter because I know he'll come out how I like him, I realized Art Fight was coming up and I didn't want to promise anyone I'd participate in case I didn't. Again. Olaxis has drawn stuff for me a couple times, and I felt bad never returning fire, so I drew his lynx sona Alex while it was fresh in my head! Pose is a little funny, but I always aim high and go for "dynamic", so no one can fault me for trying. Still cute in any case.
I hated how this one came out for a long time. I came up with some really cool outfits for this boy, tried to give him more detailed eyes, and it just didn't work out. With the benefit of hindsight (and having since learned how to draw proper eyes), I can see I almost had it, I just very much had to make both the sclerae and the pupils bigger.
I do want to take another crack at this sometimes—I also think the proportions on his arms especially aren't great, and I dunno, whole thing strikes me as a good idea that I could've done better on. But I'm definitely in a far better place to do that now, writing this a couple months after having initially drawn this.
A redraw of that silly, weird Wyn leaning on an abstract background I did February of last year. Surprised myself with this one! Came in the span of like two days, and I felt pretty confident in my style growing in afterwards.
