I recently didn't feel so good so I thought that relaxing, like I did with vidya, is recommended and I finally started to watch new (aka 2002 format) Top Gear from first season like I always wanted. It's mad fun to watch it, even without James first season had some fucking funny moments like Hammond teasing Jezza and saying his car is gay. I'm about to watch 2nd season right now, so it's just gonna be more funnier and hilarious.
By the way, I found there's bunch of people making Polish Initial D set in Tatra mountains where Takumi is called Tadeusz and he's a son of oscypki seller. Lot of edits feature memes "dawaj kurwie miodu" (literally give a whore honey, which means drive agressively) and poldoszrot (Polonez, communist era car is memed as actually good for drifting and is supposedly a polish equivalent of AE86) with lot of eurobeat remixes of discopolo songs which actually slap. People actually even made edits which are fucking hilarious.
Moving from car-related media (funny how much of it I consumed recently, I don't know shit about cars basically but it's just fun to watch I guess) I got some more art supplies and I fucked up my new watercolor palette, probably I'll have to remove one color from it to have space for other one I actually need and I wonder how messy shit will be (tube watercolor in cheap palette,,,). I didn't got a red which is actually red and a middle yellow, which pretty much are crucial colors,,, I got a new sketchbook too, but I'm too scared to start another one. I'm just doodling and learning more color mixing instead of commiting to actual projects like I want.
I heard that there will be a preparatory course in my city for people who want to go to art school, which is nice. Basically, before this you had no options since you either had some classes with boomers who wanted to learn to draw or with kids or you had to go to city 90km away to get anything better. If I won't apply for art school I'll make my drawing skills better with it and it just will be fun to go out more, outside just going to work.
I still didn't do any graphics for any site but I started to take one of my cameras (Konica Minolta Dimage X31) with me since it's small and I like weird colors I get from it and how random it is, since you don't have much of options available outside exposure and white balance. Not even ISO setting is available. I want to get use of my cameras again, I ended up hoarding stuff which I didn't want to happen. I got Canon Powershot S50 which I didn't like as much but I remembered about it when Cammy talked about getting more modern camera after Photocam fiasco and he wanted a S30, earlier model (which I almost got myself but it wasn't as available as S50 there) and it prompted me to dig out mine and charge it. I should get around to getting my newest camera and actually the oldest in collection, Konica Digital Revio KD300z for which I have to get a power cable (easy) and one of these gumstick batteries (harder to get). I found out they are used with old Kyoceras too, so I might get a S3 or S4 for fun since they are different than my beloved L3V. There's also one Ricoh I want to try,,,
But I definitely need to go out more and take fun pictures in the evening, I recently took some when I was coming back home. I should make a page for them, but two of these are on my flickr which I started to use again recently. Maybe even a camera, general old tech pages for devon.somnol... I just need to start working on these. Few months ago I got an idea to make a page about vintage digital art setups since it's a fun and underexplored topic. But as always, I did nothing.
These really dumb and tiny and random journals actually make me feel better. I feel less cringy about my writing and it's maybe a kind of practice before another project I was thinking about.
It feels so good to be more comfy with yourself.
