As always, Colton is a popular character, and a very fun one to draw. Lovely little raccoon boy. He’s thinking about things… This drawing was a test to see how cold I could make the scene look, and also an excuse to draw more trees. Frosty.

Colton again! This time with Madeleine. A little scene that was inspired by several conversations with Cameron about these two characters being a good little team for adventuring through the forest surrounding a lot of Apricot Bay. Many cool things to find, and they’ve got each others backs for the journey.

Random doodle from college that I traced over, I guess. It’s Diesel! 😀 He’s actually the oldest character in the Pennyverse, a little dude I made up in 2016 while bored in class. He didn’t have a name until more recently though. And he sadly dropped the fetching goatee..

How impolite of you, Capy. Medibang ate all of my dithering pattern brushes so I had to remake them, so I drew a Capy with one of the new ones. Phht.

Penny wearing her finest articles of clothing. She may dress smart for work but when comfy time begins? That’s when the garish pink shorts and intimidating graphic tees come on.

Spent 3 days on this one, I usually like to get a drawing done in a day but this one has a lot of detail so, whatever. Cameron may remember me getting very annoyed at the existence of leaves while drawing this uwu.

January 2019

January 31st, 2019

The full version of this image is pretty damn huge so just a heads up. Anyway, this is a remake of an older drawing from 2016, which was a remake of something even older, from 2014. The older drawings are also hideously gigantic because big canvases can be cool. Not so fun to load though. Also, quick note, the Windows Photo Viewer thingy decided to tag this as “scuba diving”.

Golly, since Colton came into being, he’s been a favourite lad of mine and anyone else who sees him thinks he’s great too. Madeleine is pretty fantastic too. They’re even better working as a team. Anyway, here’s a simple illustration of them planning out an adventure.

A character of mine called Wyn. He’s a fat little cat dude who wears comfy jumpers. Jumper based on a real design. There’s more to him than that but I’m keeping it to myself for now uwu, Caby’s got some character and world building to do.

It can be safe to say that shit was going down in January/December. And during that time, I discovered a new way to “vent”. And that was to draw the most peaceful stuff imaginable. So Cammy gets to adventure through the forest. Drew this without even realising it was out of the ordinary for Cameron. Golly.

The second wandering Cammy picture. This time with slight supernatural elements, glowing ghost butterfly and all that. I think at this point I realised that it wasn’t looking particularly platonic anymore. <:3c

Went ahead and made this a trilogy. Had a lot of fun with the textures in all three but the water splash in this one was particularly fun to figure out. Also the sky in this drawing, best sky I ever did paint, methinks. I’ll outdo it someday but for now I’m just appreciating all the pretty colours. (Anyone who knows Cameron will recognise the frog uwu)

December 2018

December 31st, 2018

If you’ve been on my Toyhou.se or the terribly cursed mawi page then you’ve seen this lad. Drawn on Christmas day, it’s the very first instance of Cammy in a flowe crown. And it was supposed to be a joke. :3c But golly did it suit him. So the flower crown stayed~

You know what I haven’t drawn in a good long while? My aliens. I miss my aliens! I really do. I should dig them back up and do something with them. Anyway, here’s a random alien. I was playing with my dither brushes and thought it came out kinda neat.

Wyn and Daf getting into a snowball fight. Need to draw these lads again. Also quite happy with how the snow turned out, although it does sort of stretch out endlessly behind them, like they’re living in an eternal void of snowy weather. Otherwise, fun drawing, still quite happy with it.

I hope this doesn’t offend your eyeballs too badly, it’s a redraw of sorts of a thing I drew in 2011. I was merely a bab, do not judge. umu Not only did I not have any understanding of colours, I also used to colour in on the same layer as the lineart and then use the blur tool on the white gap bits to try and hide them. I was the best artist.

Sketchy/painty thing of Wyn that I started and didn’t finish. Kinda like the fuzzy style I had going. Might redraw this one at some point, now that I’m more confident with my painting. Maybe even finish it this time.

Here’s a mari I drew. Probably one of my favourites, I think he came out looking very solid and 3D. Had a little fun shading the fluff, too. Good lad.

A Christmas present I made for our resident festive snake lad. All the other ones I drew are already somewhere or other but I don’t think this one is. And I’m pleased with how the KitchenAid Mixer came out so I wanna show it off. uwu

November 2018

November 30th, 2018

Some college work. The aim was to create the front of a cereal box in the style of an art movement. I used a mascot creature that I made up for the project. The art movement is ~art nouveau~. This is the version without text, because I don’t like how the text turned out. Warning, the finished image is a little big.

A younger Grigor and a babby Catrin keeping warm around a campfire in the dead of night. Concentrated entirely on lighting for this one. I think it worked out rather nicely. Love these two, I need to draw them more. Sweet father/daughter interactions. Grumpy old bastard/young ball of sunny energy contrast. Good stuff.

Another unfinished thing, how sad. Some random evil looking wolf lad who has either just murdered someone or cut his own face up. Perhaps both! I’ll leave it up to your imagination. Also a little grumpy capy judging how crappy the blood pool looks. Because that’s one of the many hardships an artist must face. General crappiness. umu

A sleepy badger in a sketchy, kids book-y art style. A favourite badger drawing of mine, quite honestly. Just a very chunky, fluffy lad having a good nap. I should try to recreate this art style at some point, it’s neat. I remember Cameron liking it too.

Designed a fossa dude and then never used him for anything. Still don’t have a use for him. So he shall remain just one nameless drawing for now, and perhaps forever. Poor lad. Anyway, still a pretty neat design. Fossas are cool.

I can’t remember the context for this. mari is the dancing queen now, we just have to accept it.

Welsh mythical beast, part crocodile, part beaver, will eat fishermen for breakfast. Still very much like this one, the dramatic lighting is neat and the background, while messy, is nicely formed and merges with the creature pretty well. Spooky bastard.

Went ham with the painty brushes while listening to Apologies to the Disco Jellyfish, the uh, most popular of Cameron’s songs. Everyone likes Disco Jellyfish. Because it slaps. Anyway, I still think this one is kinda neat, considering I had absolutely no direction beyond vibes. And then I added more eyes because drawing the first lot was fun so I wanted to do it again. It’s mostly the face that I’m still happy with. So fluffy.

Had to design a cereal mascot for college, came up with this thing. Their cereal would have little star and moon marshmallow pieces in it. The top colour scheme is the neutral one and the lower colour scheme was for the “art nouveau” box, which can be seen on the November page. Made it all faded and dark, to sort of age it a bit. Cute little guy.

Catrin! A simple one. Her markings are fiddly to get right but very fun to paint. And how could you not love that face? She’s glowing!

The remnants of all the gotdamn Neopets I used to draw. A Halloween drawing featuring a Kyrii, an Aisha, a Bruce and a Kiko. All in their Halloween colours of course. I still think it’s a cute drawing. Can’t remember if it got into the art gallery on Neopets or not. And I cannot be bothered to check.

Drew the lads in their Halloween costumes for the festive period. My favourite drawing I’ve done of the lot of them. Good lads. Fun picture. Should really do something for next Halloween too. Don’t want people to miss out on Candy Corn’s once a year appearance uwu
