This month was almost entirely mermay, apologies for slim pickings,,, Should be more to enjoy next month.

Got the first half of a 6 fanart thingy done, and then fell off onto other things. Starting to think I’ll never finish it. Ah well, something to try another day. Still pleased with the ones I completed, in any case, tried to keep loose and sketchy and fun with them.

Saw a twitter prompt about drawing an oc like a 1950s-60s cereal box mascot, and then also as a 2000s cereal box mascot. I’ve been on a roll with Bunny so I decided to use her for this. I haven’t completed the 2000s one, though I plan to. But anyway, very pleased with how the 50s-60s one came out so you might as well see it now.

Caby? Drawing youtuber fanart? A horrifying concept. Luckily it won’t become a common occurrence, I just started doodling and it turned into Devyn Crimson. You might be able to guess that my fashion skills are not what hers are, :blobweary:

Not gonna fill this art gallery entry with mermaids, could bore you to tears with the sordid details of drawing scales and shading water. But I shall show you this one, because I like it, I made the brush, and everyone in Somnol liked it too. It’s a sea snake sliding about in the sea foam, after Cameron gave me that tidbit of trivia about how sea snakes are attracted to the stuff. Came out nicely colourful.

For a good month before this, I’d felt this urge to redesign Penny. Her design is so full of blank space and adding more fluff just seemed to ruin her silhouette, so instead I did something risky and crazy, I decided to change her markings. The original plan was to give her darker orange stripes, but her big, dumb head kept turning out far too busy. I tried calico on a whim and we all grew fond of it. I think it suits her nicely.

Sketching ideas for a whole different world, this time for Wyn’s universe. The main cast are mostly still in high school, so I felt the need to design some kinda uniform. It’s probably gonna change but ties and shirts give me ‘nam flashbacks. So for now we shall stick with this. Wyn looks neat in it anyhow.

This was the month of many tiny doodles and random giant pictures. Have a doodle. This was me trying to rethink Caby’s colourscheme. Still working on it, golly.

Let it be known that when I see a powerful tshirt design, I immediately want to draw Cammy wearing it. Thus, I did this. I’m not bullying him, I swear umu.

I realised that the rules I’d created for Wyn’s world meant that neither mine or Cameron’s fursonas would fit in universe, so I had to go and make designs, super important. Cammy’s a red and white setter, have another doodle of him. Oh and this is my new sona too~

Decided to be different and exciting by putting Daf into a dumb tshirt instead. This was actually a sticker on the back of a car I saw a photo of on Tumblr while scrolling through. Couldn’t get it out of my head so there you go. Daf’s rocking it.

I’ve never denied being easily amused. Couldn’t get the image of AAA playing with a ball of yarn out of my head, legally required to draw it. Thanks AAAbot.

I’ve already posted this everywhere, including using it for the blog, but I don’t care. Real pleased with how this came out. Indoor scenes are a big weakness of mine and I’m glad I followed through with this drawing idea. This is the version sans lighting, just to give it a little bit of a ~new and different~ vibe

Starting this month off with more neopets! This time a scorchio I drew using a watercolour brush I was testing out on Clip Studio. Looks like a pretty cheerful lad.

Wanted to draw a neopet but wasn’t sure which one, so I asked in Somnol what I should draw, and Cameron suggested a Candy Zafara, and thus, this drawing was born. Trying to imitate that texture was bit of a challenge.

We were discussing Neopets as usual and we decided that the issue with the vandagyre is that it doesn’t quite look like a Neopet. I took on the challenge and attempted to make it more Neopet-y. I think I did alright. Also check out borb‘s digimon Vandagyre.

Cameron did a stream on Neopets games, and needed some sort of replacement for the mari he usually has in the corner of the screen. So I drew cammaroo, think I captured his likeness~

Another test with the watercolour brush. Some random furry I made up on the spot I guess, not anyone I can recognise. I quite like the blues in this, actually. Smooth.

Redraw of a picture which was drawn on December 21st, 2013. Was feeling nostalgic, started thinking about one of my favourite games as a kid, Okami. I used to have a whole lot more old okami fanart, but I deactivated my first account :pensive: Either way, glad I still have this. Good memories.

This was the month of Neopets, through and through. We played a lot of Neopets, I drew a lot of Neopets, hell, the other lads got in on the fun too. This uni was born from that. It’s an aight uni.

We decided pretty quickly that Cameron’s neopetsona had to be a Desert Lutari, and mine was already a Cloud Bori, so the natural conclusion is drawing soft art of them together~

I had this nuts dream which was basically a reanimated version of the snow miser and heat miser sequences in The Year Without a Santa Claus, but with the snow miser being an ermine and the heat miser being a wombat. When I woke up I immediately doodled the designs my brain had made up, still kinda like em.

Drew a Wyn and then just kinda didn’t use it for anything, I guess. I have many random Wyns in my files, ngl. Kinda like this one, tidy lines on it. Curious expression.

Found a bunch of highres textures and decided to play with them. Ended up with something that looks rather like an album cover. I was watching this at the time, and you can see the inspiration, methinks.

Spent a lot of time drawing OCs for The Pit in Cubesona’s discord server, where people put in OCs and you draw em to level up, putting in your own refs to get drawings back. Was fun, I should get back to it. This is one of several OCs I’ve drawn.

A random doodle that I cleaned up because I liked how it looked. Not really like my usual stuff but it’s still pretty nice. Simple but effective, and all that.

Was this drawn in Krita or Clip Studio? I can’t remember. Either way, have a Wyn in an art style I was trying out but decided not to go with. He’s a cute lad either way.

Once upon a time during a Cammy stream, a legend was born. That legend is Brungko the totodile. He’s too damn powerful and can destroy humanity if he so pleases.

Something I started and then didn’t finish again, this time because Medibang is mean. A Caby stood nervously beside her younger self? I actually really like how baby Caby turned out, I captured the “bedraggled sparklefur tween” look pretty well.

I don’t really have anything to say about this, just thought that everyone deserved to see a sombrero-wearing guinea pig playing guitar.
