I’m still polishing off NoFEMBR with a final Rediscovering and a shiny new AutoSite site and manual for dcb, but have something a little lighter that landed in my inbox:
Hi mariteaux,
As you may know, our Community Guidelines describe which content we allow – and don’t allow – on YouTube. Your video …Call it My Lo-Fi Suicide (Final Regular Stream) was flagged to us for review. Upon review, we’ve determined that it violates our guidelines and we’ve removed it from YouTube.
We know that this might be disappointing, but it’s important to us that YouTube is a safe place for all. If content breaks our rules, we remove it. If you think we’ve made a mistake, you can appeal and we’ll take another look. Keep reading for more details.
Yeah, so YouTube took down one of my old streams for, of course, no stated reason. This stream consisted of me playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 and Somnocraft with the lads. The Somnolians are guessing it’s because “final stream” and “suicide” are in the title, and if it is, that’s indoor bike helmet wearer levels of special. The latter’s the name of a Folk Implosion song, and the former is pretty unambiguous. There’s obviously no suicides happening in the video.
All those surveys they want you to take if you actively post content because they care about your opinion and your future on the platform? No, you can get fucked, tiny channel, the bot never makes a mistake. No way in the fifth layer of Hell did a real human watch this video of me talking and playing Tony Hawk and find it objectionable.
I keep backups of all my videos and streams anyway, so I wasn’t exactly concerned with one getting pulled down. I appealed it anyway for shits and giggles. Good job, YouTube. Definitely not appealing to the part of me that wants to try out BitChute and Dailymotion or anything…
