Impromptu project time! Come visit the (I’m sure soon-to-be-expanding) Somnolescent Archives. But before you do, let me tell you how it came to be.

Goldeneye styling intentional.

So I got one of Brad Sucks’ newsletters yesterday. He kinda frustrates me. Was super influential on me, love his old stuff, but the dude has refused to put out an album in about eight years, despite actively working on new material. In fact, this newsletter was pretty much bragging about having two entire albums worth of unreleased stuff behind a paywall on Patreon.

In addition to the aforementioned discounts there are something like 25 unreleased songs over on the Brad Sucks Patreon now. And additionally at the $10 Embarrassment Tier there are many many more cringe-worthy demos and some shameful live footage from my embarrassing past. What a bargain!

Fantastic. I guess just getting money monthly from a few regulars is a more lucrative business strategy than releasing albums like every other band.

Add to this a certain frustration at him slowly burying everything that made him noteworthy after it stopped benefiting him (he’s hidden his song stems, plus the remix album, no publicly-released demos anymore, also behind a paywall, as well as the recent I Don’t Know What I’m Doing remaster being “all rights reserved” rather than Creative Commons), and Cammy decided to save what he could.

This kinda blossomed into a sudden impromptu extra subdomain, which I’d like to use for keeping older site designs, hoards, and things in “cold storage” that bulk up our backups preserved in a place less likely to get bumped during moving. I’ll add it to the front page at some point. I still have a Misery Inspires update to finish up. Have a sample of that:
