These Days

Well, second R.E.M. song in a row to be Song of the Now can’t hurt. Honestly, it’s been a kinda grey last couple days for me. I seem to bottom out pretty thoroughly towards the end of the night and it’s never pretty. Given that a new month is coming, I’m hoping to shake off a little bit and get back to business.
As of tomorrow (or maybe two days from now–scheduled post!), my little self-imposed tech exile will be over. I went purely creative/idle this month after Caby started feeling a little detached with all the technical stuff going on in the group through April and May. It’s been a non-issue for a month now–we’re thankfully tighter than ever around here. It does mean that there’s some tech projects that’ve piled up though, so with July comes Cammy doing more transmitter maintenance.
Creative stuff will still continue though. I’m stockpiling a bunch of writing I’ve been doing for that Pinede world I keep mentioning for an eventual dump of the whole lot on a Somnolescent subsite perhaps. There’s also a few more traditional stories I’d like to return to once I’ve gotten back up to speed. I also have a few blog posts I know I’m gonna write. One’s another techy rant and another’s a ramble about another neat old computer book. There’s projects to go around is what I’m saying.
Remember–no apostrophe. We are young, despite the years. We are hope, despite the times.
I’m not feeding off you, I will rearrange your scales
If I can, and I can
March into the ocean, march into the sea
Had a hat, I
Put it down and it sunk, reached down, yanked it up
Slapped it on my headAll the people gather
Fly to carry each his burden
We are young, despite the years
We are concerned
We are hope, despite the timesAll of a sudden, these days
Happy throngs, take this joy
Wherever, whereverI wish to eat each one of you, and you, me, you
If I can, and I can
We have many things in common, name three
(Three, three, three) I
Had a hat and it sunk, reached down, yanked it up
Slapped it on my headAll the people gather
Fly to carry each his burden
We are young, despite the years
We are concerned
We are hope, despite the timesAll of a sudden, these days
Happy throngs, take this joy
Wherever, wherever you goI’m not feeding off you, I will rearrange your scales
If I can, and I can
I wish to eat each one of you, and you, me, you, I
Had a hat and it sunk, reached down, yanked it up
Slapped it on my headAll the people gather
Fly to carry each his burden
We are young, despite the years
We are concerned
We are hope, despite the timesAll of a sudden, these days
Happy throngs, take this joy
Wherever, wherever you go
