It is, isn't it? You've never seen an apricot tree in person—or really, any tree that wasn't some tiny planter thing lining the grassy median between City streets. Maybe some stuff in the parks—not that there were many of those around. Okay, so good trees are new, and you like this one. It's not one of those tall, thick ones, and it's not bearing fruit just yet, but you can sit on the brick planter and admire the buildings in pastels.
And maybe you will sometime—but you've been sitting, enough of that. From this angle, you notice a bright red, boxy building in the distance with the words "Apricot Bay Library" carved into the facade. Perhaps they have maps there.
