The forest is always a good idea.
The fog seems to clear as soon as you climb past the bushes behind the station. You're struck by the towering firs and hemlocks surrounding you, tall and strong, with cool moss growing at their bases. The morning light that makes it down here is as gentle as it gets, as are the occasional chirps of birdsong that filter through the leaves. You make your way onto a soft dirt path, your eyes drawn to all the sticks and undergrowth at your feet.
It's a little messy, a little muddy...but it's soothing. Quieter out here than The City ever was, for sure. The air that fills your lungs is cool and goes in easy. You wouldn't even mind getting lost out here.
Oh, you've never been out of The City, have you, Colton? Lemme point you in a few directions then. A little ways down the path, things fork; down one way, you see a bridge over a little stream, and a more winding path that leads to a clearing.
