Colton's Adventure

The ermine leans out of your booth and wanders off...somewhere, you don't really check. You're more interested in seeing all the trees out your window, some towering so high above the train car that you can barely see their leaves. They all grow at angles, some so sharp you're not sure how they're staying up, and fluffy, wet moss lines their veiny bases. There's something especially comfy about the spots where the trees get so thick, the entire car is plunged into dimness.

A while later, you see the station platform start to stretch outside your window, and you get ready to climb off. It's a pleasant, colorful station, from the looks of it, and so is the rest of the town from far away. There's even a little decorative sign reading something about Apricot Bay and 1919 out by the limits.

Maybe this won't be so bad after all. You're just feeling a little scared and maybe it'll blow over. ...Seeing all the people on the platform doesn't make you optimistic, but maybe.

> ...Time to get off then. Bye train.
