Index of Pages
The Badger Boy
Personal pages! Or perhaps pages pertaining to the site.
- What's New!—A big ol' changelog. How delightfully corporate.
Games
Some pages on some old games I've been playing, and stuff related to them.
- Cammy's High Scores for FreQuency— I'm tracking scores for the prequel to Amplitude now, yes, because I never quite know when to quit...
- Recommended Games— A look at some of the less appreciated (and more just plain appealing to me) titles for various consoles. Currently featuring PS1 and PS2 titles.
- Cammy's High Scores for Amplitude— See how surprisingly well I do with a controller not designed for this game!
- Play My Tony Hawk Parks—Custom Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 parks, lovingly designed by me. Screenshots and videos abound.
- Minesweeper Times and Terminology—My best Minesweeper times and an explanation on some game mechanics, seeing as though they're usually buried deep in forums elsewhere. One of a few pages that came from mari.somnol.
- Mario Kart Wii Times—My current best times for each course featured in Mario Kart Wii. One of a few pages that came from mari.somnol.
- Everything You Have Always Wanted to Know about the PlayStation—Not actually my document, but one I've been working on cleaning up! This one dates all the way back to 1999, and there's PDFs floating around, but it's nothing good ol' HTML can't do. Anyway, highly technical reference about the guts of the original PlayStation. Not for the faint of heart, but fascinating for the right kinda person. New foreword by me.
The Vault
Where it all goes in the end! Unlike most vaults, though, you've got access to this one.
- Shots From the Turtle Back Zoo—Early September 2021, I was brought along to go see zoo creatures in a neighboring state, and what I found may shock you...
- Into the Greater Somnolescent Multiverse—For years now, Somnolescent has had an informal "Multiverse" as a way to justify making our characters dress up like each other. Here's my explanation of a spooky void only some come out of...
- The Five Families of MP3 Encoders—How programs with supposedly the same end goal can come up with entirely different results, and samples for you to listen to of each. I even got a robot buddy to listen with me!
- The Ballad of the eMachines Box—A very long, rambly love letter to an old computer I love using, and a staunch defense of the more practical side of retrocomputing.
- Exploring Pocono Creek—Come take a tour of this tucked-away little trail I like to wander around sometimes! There's everything here, nature, old technology, cryptids...
- Nirvana: Sound of Dentage—A three-disc anthology set of Nirvana outtakes and rarities that I put together to try and improve on the official boxset some. Took me 23 days in all. Comes with a ton of reading material and links to where you can get my sources, so do check it out.
- The Curious Case of Nobody's Watching—A little fanpage for a very curious, forgotten byproduct of 2000s TV and internet history: a TV pilot that got leaked onto YouTube and...almost saw a second life over it.
- MIDI Stockpile (but more importantly, how to play them these days...)—This one's one part tutorial and one part collection of those delightfully alluring robotic renditions of all your favorites. Made as a bit of a stress test for Retrozilla Composer, and boy, am I gonna keep using it.
Stories
The stories that used to go on mariteaux.somnolescent.net, but now, they're here! There's more of them now, since I wanted to have some Pinède representation, and if you're more an offline reader type, have your choice of formats to print!
